so Isaac went to the philistines, and told them his wife was his sister....sound familiar?I dont understand why Isaac and Abraham lie about these things.
Genesis 26:12 Isaac planted crops in that land and the same year reaped a hundredfold, because the LORD blessed him.
and in Abra(ha)m's case:
Genesis 12:16-17 He treated Abram well for her sake, and Abram acquired sheep and cattle, male and female donkeys, menservants and maidservants, and camels.But the LORD inflicted serious disease on Pharaoh and his household because of Abram's wife Sarai.
...for real? not even a slap on the hand? and not only that they end up getting things from the people they lied to. Call me crazy but it seems like God is playing favorites. I know there's probably some explanation for this, but it just seems unfair to me.
