"Joab son of Zeruiah began to count the men but did nto finish. Wrath came on Israel on account of this numbering, and the number was not entered in the book of the annals of King David."
This happened once before in 2 Samuel 24 where David is punished for counting the fighting men in Israel and in 1 Chronicles 21 where it's the same thing but it specifies that Joab disagrees with David (and then he goes and does it again later himself...)
what is sinful about counting the number of fighting men in Israel?

i guess its like he doesnt have faith in God and wants to make sure that theres enough men
God wants him to have total and complete trust in Him?
